What pregnancy services are available?

For moms-to-be, a variety of services are available to monitor your health and the growth and development of your baby throughout the nine months of your pregnancy.

What is a high-risk pregnancy?

A high-risk pregnancy often results from underlying medical conditions that affect your health.  For example, women over the age of 35 are considered high-risk due to the possible complications for mother and baby that come with pregnancy in later years.

Health conditions that can make your pregnancy high-risk include:

• Previous pregnancy loss
• Incompetent cervix
• Weight loss surgery
• Obesity

You may also be considered high-risk if you have a sexually transmitted disease or are immunocompromised.

To determine if your pregnancy is high-risk, the staff can evaluate your current health, family history, and personal medical history. If you are considered high-risk, the staff takes extra care to monitor and manage your pregnancy with the goal of achieving a healthy, safe delivery.

What can I expect during my initial pregnancy consultation?

During your initial consultation, the team at Complete Healthcare for Women reviews your medical history and current health. If you need to confirm a pregnancy, the staff can provide in-office urine testing and a pelvic exam to determine your expected delivery date.
